Great-grandfather Giuseppe, known as “Cràvin”, was already growing his vines in Fara Novarese at the beginning of the twentieth century. After the war, his sons Emilio and Carlo — “The Paitas” — expanded the vineyards, acquiring land that still bears the names of local tradition: Ochera, Valfantin, Scurgun. Today, the Cantinoteca dei Prolo combines respect for that tradition with sustainable viticulture, with attention to soil life and the quality of each bunch.
